If it’s not, and the glue sets, correcting the error is sure to be time consuming and aggravating. No-glue laminate floors are less troublesome. In the unlikely event that a mistake is made, fixing it is as easy as sliding a piece or two out of place. There’s no glue to deal with, so there’s no risk of inadvertently gluing something into the correct place.

Glued styles aren’t very easy to replace, of course. They are bonded to the underlayment, which means that they have to be sawed off in order to be replaced. It’s a lot cheaper and easier to replace a few planks than a whole floor, so keep that in mind.

Pricing

Like many people, your chief concern most likely revolves around price. Price is sure to hold a lot of sway for you. However, the difference in prices between glue and no-glue laminate floors is negligible. That doesn’t mean that they cost the same amount of money to install, though. It’s always best to let professionals install a glued one. In that case, you will have to pay to have the flooring installed. No-glue laminate floors, of course, are easy for do-it-yourself types to manage. As a result, you don’t have to pay extra to have them installed, which will save you a nice chunk of change. Of course, you can always let the pros install your no-glue laminate floors too.

Which is Right for You?
