Band: The Plastics Song: Caves Directed by The Morcos Brothers CAVES, the one shot music video, is the first music video off of The Plastics debut album Shark. CAVES is the first single off of the album, which was produced by internationally acclaimed music producer, Gordon Raphael, who is best known for his work with The Strokes. Shark was released in Cape Town July 31st, 2010. Directed by the Morcos Brothers and featuring the choreography of Christy Giesler, the music video brings the talent of a vibrant group of young South African artists. The bands Talking Heads, The B-52′s and Devo were all big fans of the Plastics. So…not the worst song ever. You’ve never listened to Friday have you?

New Wave musicians often played choppy rhythm guitars with fast tempos. Keyboards were common as were stop-and-start song structures and melodies. Reynolds noted that New Wave vocalists sounded high-pitched, geeky and suburban.)
